The Anahuac University (México Norte) is a private educational institution of higher level in Mexico, located in the Interlomas area of Greater Mexico City. The university belongs to the Catholic religious congregation of the Legionaries of Christ. The university was founded in 1964. It offers 28 undergraduate programs and 40 postgraduate programs. Anáhuac means "near the water" in Nahuatl, the ancient Aztec language spoken in Tenochtitlan, which used to be the biggest and most crowded place in Central America, what is now Mexico City, the home of the university. The university has had an investment of $54 million since 1990. The library has 200,000 books. == Overview == * Name: "Anahuac" means “near the water”.
